  Gideon B. Tennison was married in Sumner County, TN on 27 October, 1847 to Elizabeth Walker. Gideon B. Tennison was first listed in the 1850 census of Sumner County, TN. He was married with one small child and living next door to his father, Gideon, Sr. and his family. Both families lived in the District 12 with no other Tennison families in the county. 1860 Gideon B. and his family of 6 children and wife Elizabeth, are living in a rooming house / hotel with 36 other people.
