- The following information was provided by the DNA testee, Mike Corray. Mike found out that his DNA fit not match other family members so he began a search.
I want to thank him for sharing his story.
He wrote "I tested on all three services, Amncestry, 23andMe. and FTDNA. I was fortunate to have a previously unknown 2nd cousin from my unknown paternal family line test on23 and me within year after I took my DNA test. Most of his data was private so it took some doing to even find his name. All I knew him by were his initials KD and three family surname he had lone isted as DENNIS. From those names I tracked down a cousin of his who was in Ancestry and he got a name of Keith Dennis' grandparents, Lester and Edna Dennis. That was all it took. Lester had four sibling, Stella, Jattie, Apha, and Everett. I found Everett, my grandfather, working on a farm about a mile north of whereby grandparent's farm was locate in Stanton Township Noreast if Urbana, Champaign County, IL."
