| Notes |
- Samuel G Dennis Jr, b: 1767 and father Sam Sr, b: 1737 have long been considered as the father/grandfather of Jesse Dennis, b: 1803.
DNA results have muddied the water here quite a bit. The origins of these Samuels have been said to be Ireland or Virginia.
If from Ireland they do not fit the lineage back to the TENNISON family of southern Maryland where our DNA leads us.
If born in Virginia, then a fit is possible. Problem is figuring out where these guys fit into the TENNISON line.
Henry TENNISON's son, John Sims had a son named Samuel, b: 1766 who fits the timeline but not the father/son connection?
The linkage here is just to hold the history we have until the brick wall can be overcome.
