    • John Washington Tennyson married after the family moved from Green Co., Ky to Lauderdale Co., AL. (1833) He was listed in the 1850 census as a Physician at the Lauderdale Factory. In 1860 census finds him in Pontotoc Co., MS. His last two children were listed as born in MS indicates a move between 1853 and 1856. John's older sister Nancy M Tennison had never married and was living with the family in the 1860 census.
      John W served with the Company F 17 Mississippi INF Confederacy as a Pvt.
      In 1882 John W applied for a medical license in the state of Mississippi . He stated that he had practice medicine for 41 years.
      Some researchers claim Kenneth L. Tennison b. 14 Jan 1862 Pontotoc Co., MS; and d. 1954 as a son of the doctor John Tennison. Kenneth was buried in Choctaw Co. MS at the Providence Baptist Church. He married 29 Feb 1882 Choctow Co., MS to Georgia Ann TRUSSELL b. 17 Apr. 1863-64; d. 10 Sept 1905. 9 children. males William John b 1887. m Juanita Miller; James b. 1891; Curry L. b. 1893; Walsey b. 1895; Edwin b. 1890
